We have worked with Rachael before but this sounded like new issues to that sweet girl. We heard from Rachael’s Mom:
i’m thinking my girl Rachael needs them the most – 2 if not all 3 sessions. I am working on fear / confidence / self-esteem issues with her and need some additional help. Since she came back from her short term adoption, she has been very fearful of ceiling fans. She is always glancing up to see if there is anything over her head. She sleeps upstairs with us at night and we have a ceiling fan in the bedroom. She is always glancing up to see if it is moving. I had her in my office and had the ceiling fan moving very slowly with Jake and Alexa in there too and she literally cowered in a little ball and trembled the whole time, even after the fan stopped moving. It took me several hours to get her to relax again and she now refuses to come into my office unless I put a leash on her and pull her in and close the door. She will not come upstairs during the day, which is where the fans are, and at night I have to encourage her to go upstairs to bed. If I have worked with her on the ceiling fan issue, I will have to put a leash on her and guide her upstairs to bed for the next week or so. The only place she will go upstairs in the bedroom. I would like for her to get to the point where she isn’t afraid of the fans, and for her to feel comfortable coming upstairs during the day to hang out with me and Jake and Alexa when I’m working and to be able to go wherever she wants to upstairs.
As we connected with Rachael, we went in gently really considering how to approach this anxiety that we had picked up that much in Rachael before. Rachael said Rachael is wondering why you are here. Please don’t hurt Rachael, please don’t yell at Rachael and please don’t hit Rachael, please, please, no big noises. Rachael is really glad to be home again but Rachael gets jumpy inside Rachael’s head and sometimes tummy. Rachael hates being afraid of so many things. We told Rachael we were going to ask for the largest, biggest, bravest angel to be with Rachael. Rachael said, Rachael can have an Archangel? Yes, Archangel Michael to really protect Rachael from all the things only Rachael knows are scary. Rachael likes the idea of just having to think a fear and Archangel Michael will wrap himself around me and put up a giant shield to stop Rachael’s fear before it can even get close. Rachael will have the all powerful bravest Archangel Michael by Rachael’s side forever.
Thanks so much for Rachael’s session. I think you are right, something happened to her while she was with the woman who tried to adopt her. She called me every day that she had Rachael and I know from talking with her that she was very anxious about Rachael and really fed into Rachael’s insecurity at being adopted. Rachael had also dug out of the woman’s yard several times and tried to run away. She reported behaviors I hadn’t seen previously and since Rachael came back to us, she is more prone to being anxious and fearful, even in situations she used to be fine with. It’s been very gradual, and for some reason, seeing that ceiling fan in the store has made things much worse for her overall. Alexa and Jake don’t seem to know how to help her and just give her a confused look when she is afraid. And yes, her tummy gets upset despite her being on probiotics for a week to try to settle things down.
Rachael snoozed for most of her session. I snuggled up against her and helped send some Reiki to her as well. I could feel the heat increasing in her and we both moved away from each other as it became uncomfortably warm. She opened her eyes and looked upwards a few times and went back to sleep. Jake and Alexa were nearby sleeping quietly. Usually at least one of the three snores at night, but it is all quiet tonight. I’m going to start putting a Reiki pillow under Rachael’s bed – hopefully she won’t think it’s a toy and shred it. And I LOVE that she has Archangel Michael to be her very own bouncer! I’m looking forward to seeing how she does over the next few days. I’d like to schedule a follow up session for her next week too.
