We love this young lady!! We had never even considered having an intern. Until Lauren wrote us this heartfelt letter that I was so touched with. During the interview, Candy let her ask us questions for an hour! She is a great fit. Colette Baron Reid told me that I would be training someone, well, here she is! SO without further adieu, here is her story:

I am very excited to introduce myself as the Reiki Fur Babies intern! A little about me: I have been an animal lover since I was born. My background in animal care includes working as a pet sitting business owner, at a veterinary hospital, as well as volunteering at The Marine Mammal Center with seals and sea lions. They have all amazing experiences. And Reiki Fur Babies is a continuation of my journey with the animals.

I grew up in Northern California and recently moved to L.A. I am a Reiki Second Degree. I have a calico kitty named Fancy and she’s a great girl. That expression “There is no such thing as an ordinary cat” is really true! Helping animals is what brings my heart joy and peace. I remember the first time I wrote Ming, I said “Animal healing is dear to my heart. Sometimes it feels like more than a passion, but that it IS my heart.” That is the best way I can explain it. Ming responded by saying she totally understood how I felt. It has been such a blessing to meet two such wonderful people has Candy and Ming. They share the same passion for animal healing!!

It all started with an article I was reading in Vision magazine. When I opened the magazine, and the first thing I saw was this incredible article about a company called Reiki Fur Babies. Reiki for your pets– for your fur babies! This was truly awesome to me. I was very inspired. I immediately emailed Ming and Candy, and we set a time to meet. We interviewed each other to see if our needs would mesh. We got to know each other, and the rest is history!

It has been an amazing experience so far working as a Reiki Fur Babies intern. When I first met Candy and Ming they both radiated warmth and good energy. I was moved by the connection they have with their own fur babies. I soon became impressed by the attachment they achieve with all fur babies.  I watched has Candy lovingly preparing lunch for her boxers, Kc and Star.  Seeing how loved they are made ME feel happy and loved too. It’s great to see two people that sincerely care that deeply for all the animals.

It was magical to see their remarkable connection to the angels. They are making a difference in this world by sharing their gifts, and that humbles and inspires me. Helping pets and their parents heal every single day. Really! Yes!! Wow. I’m so happy to be a part of RFB!
