Dear Ming, since Patches’ passing, we’ve seen a decline in her desire to eat (they were eating buddies, since they had similar diets) and she has seemed somewhat depressed since then. As much as we’ve tried to console her, she just seems down. There is not a huge rush on this, so please feel free to fit her in whenever you have time.
During the Avesa and Reiki session, Maggie said Maggie can feel and see Patches everywhere but Maggie goes to get close to Patches and poof – nothing- air. Maggie was concerned but Patches is now a spirit who can visit Maggie and Moms whenever.
Last night during her session, Maggie raised up a couple of times and then would lay her head back down with a deep relaxing sigh. The whole house knows when a session is going on and it is so cute to watch all of the other dogs flock to the same location and try to get as close to one another as they can. Last night Maggie was extra cuddly in bed and didn’t leave the comfort of my pillow or blanket. 🙂 She has been very bouncy today – following and even terrorizing/teasing 🙂 Denise as she got ready for work. She is insistent on eating the hard food that the other dogs eat.
This morning I mashed up some of her special food and set her in the kitchen to eat. The only thing she did was slurp the gravy out of it and then wanted back in the living room where she could eat more hard food.Have I mentioned that Maggie doesn’t have any teeth? Then she when she was done doing that, she made the trip up the stairs (2)in my office, nosed around in here, then wanted back in the living room. At this moment, she is asleep in her blanket on the couch.
I will keep you posted on what happens tonight during her normal feeding time. So far, we can definitely say she is beyond the depression part.
Thank you so much for all the two of you do.

Another update from Mom about Maggie! Lisa J Livingston-Bridwell -Maggie thanks you all for her support and continued healing and prayers! She has been eating well since her session and seems to have a renewed confidence and sense of herself. Over the weekend, the dog sitter referred to her as having a spitfire attitude! 🙂
